Precipitation |
Any form of water that falls from the clouds and reaches the Earth's surface. |

When rain falls through a layer of air that is below freezing point and they freeze into a solid. Sleet is smaller than .5 mmm. |

Rain that falls into the freezing air just above the surface, or onto surface that is below freezing. Also may be referred to as glazing (freezes on contact). |

Water vapor that has condensed below the freezing point. They all have unique patterns and six sides. |

Hail |
Round pellets of ice larger than .5 mmm. They only form inside cumulonimbus clouds during a thunderstorm. Strong up draft allow the freezing, collection of moisture, and refreezing of the hail stone. |

Drought |
A period of weather that is drier than usual. |

Cloud Seeding |
Tiny crystals of silver iodine and dry ice are sprinkled into clouds in order to try to create condensation and rain. |
