What does Double Blind mean?
An experimental procedure in which neither the subjects or the experimenter administering the experiment know the critical aspects of the experiment.
What does Randomized mean?
Assign experimental units by chance to create similar treatment groups, which reduces bias across treatments.
What is Placebo-controlled?
An inactive substance, called a placebo, is given to one group of participants, while the actual substance, such as a drug, is given to another group. The results are compared to determine if the investigational treatment is more effective.
