Spoon v. Poke Upwind:

Describe difference, cause, desirability in each wind range
Generally prefer spoon, i.e. mast falls to leeward in middle & points upwind at top. No power splillage. Caused by increased upper tension.

Too much lower tension creates poke by pulling midmast too far to windward.
