What is Demobilization? |
Group intervention after a large scale event. Its a transition from the event to the routine. |

What is Defusing? |
Rapid, brief interventions immediately following a disturbing event. Informal, short debrief with small number of personnel after event. Led by 2 to 3 peer counselors - lasting less than an hour. |

What is a debriefing? |
Formal group educational intervention. The Oregon Critical Response Team will be contacted consisting of both mental health professionals and peer support team members. |

When is a Debriefing usually conducted? |
optimally conducted 24-72 hours after incident and not beyond a week. A 24 hour normalizing period is usually recommended. |

A CISM response is limited to what? |
Only extended operations due to the time involved. |

Who can initiate a CISM? |
Any member may request a CISM from the IC but make sure to do it thru normal channels. |
