Oral -> In food administration

- For dogs tablets can be placed in some food and be eaten by the dog without any problem, especially if they are palatable. - Some medicines have to be given outside of meal times as presence of food interferes with absorption - In most cases it is acceptable to give the medication with a small amount of food |

- Can be offered in food or water - In food -> helps if the animal has a gap without food - Small amount of food as carrier |

- Used on small areas -> wounds - Gently clean the area with cotton wool to remove any debris to enable the ointment to come into contact with the desired area - best to wear gloves |
