Zimmerwald program
created by Lenin and other Russian Social Democrates in Switzerland in 1915 during WWI.. in order to call for immediate peace w/o annexation or indemities since they believed the only war there should be is one of class struggle for the proletariat.
Second International
started 1889, met 2-3 yrs til 1914, held its first post war meeting at Berne in 1919 where there was a small minority who wanted rev. like Russia but were overruled by other socialists--> 3rd international
Third International (Comintern)
was a spontaneious rallying of Marxists from all countries who accepted the Bolshevik Revolution as the true fruitiion of Marxism and so were willing to follow the Russian lead. It was the creation and weapon of the Bolsheviks themselves, by which they wished to discredit and isolate the moderate socialists and bring about world revolution.

Zinoviev
A win for conservatives in showing that The Bolsheviks were a menace, which lead to increase in fascism. 1924, in Eng, publication of the "Zinoviev letter," in which the Comintern urged British woerkers to provoke revoltution--> electoral victroy for conservatives
