What does rsv cause

Wheezing and crackles on auscultation

Nasopharygeal aspirate test for rsv


Chest xray hyperinflation interstital infultrate and atelectasis

Ddx

Bronchitis acute cough

Treatment

Supportive adequate hydration relief of nasal congestion monitoring


Ribavarin bronchodilators no longer reccomended

Compli

Respiratory failure pneumonia

Prevention

Palivizumab
