Hello ladies and gentlemen and. Today I will be talking to you about the six things I want to have obliterated, destroyed, burnt, smashed, and gotten rid of altogether once and for all.
Social Media is unquestionably the most crucial way of communicating in modern living. With over 2.5 BILLION internet users to date it's become one of the most popular things in the 21st century to be apart of sites such as Facebook and Twitter. My issue is that there is so much hatred and anger that comes with using these sites. I always see people showing hatred towards one another because of something which happened in the 'REAL WORLD.' This is then fueled online as we don't use common sense to turn our computers off if we don't like what we're seeing.
Also, people who constantly whine online deserve to be banished as they complain about EVERYTHING. The weather, their lives, their family, their health, the weather. Get on with it, it wont help anyone by whinging.
Secondly, I want Stereotypes to be put in room 101.
How do you know what someone is like without meeting them? You can’t. And you shouldn't stereotype them. However allot of people do.
Here are some examples of unfair stereotyping:
• Men are stronger than woman.
• Islamic people are terrorists
• Girls are not good at sports.
• Men can’t multi-task
Stereotyping should be sent to room 101 as it demoralizes groups or individuals without them being able to do anything or much about it. This unfair and insensitive way of treating people who you may not even know makes people’s lives in some circumstances much harder then they need to be. Surely this isn't what you'd want to said about you?
Thirdly I would put Coins into Room 101. Mucky, Heavy and an all round nuisance coins should go into room 101 for the inconveniences they have. Around 28,996 Million have been produced since 1968, and ever since they have caused our back pockets to be heavy, weighing us down. As well as creating an awful smell and leaving a tinted stain on our hands.
They also are known for spreading bacteria such as colds and flu, as millions of people use them, in a never ending cycle. Surely they've had their time, lets go into the future and use pay cards, as we all know they cause an issue when you scramble to find enough when paying at the counter, right?
Things that go slowly really frustrate me. From time passing slowly to people walking extremely slow, I think they deserve a place in Room 101. Have you ever been in that situation when you need to get somewhere, and people seem to move slower than ever? yes, that's what I am talking about.
There is also the fact that time passes slowly when you're waiting for something, such as a delivery. The time doesn't speed up with the excitement you have, but instead it slows down and makes the experience a total nightmare.
Life is short, so why shorten it even more by smoking. Yes, that's right my next subject to be put in Room 101 is smoking. Smoking is the most pointless, expensive habit to ever cost this country, with £1.7 BILLION being spent by the NHS alone to deal and help with the 110,000 deaths a year that are caused by smokers all around the world. Surely you'd like to see that money in your hand, not spent on those who do smoke.
50 illnesses are linked to smoking, with 20 being fatal. It also causes damage to people you live with who intake the smoke. Its a damage to your health, your social life and your bank account. Life is too short to waste on these awful habits, so please. Try and stop for all our sake.
and lastly, bad manners. I want people with bad manners to be put into room 101. Eating with little or no table manners is rude, and I especially cannot stand people who eat with their mouth open. This, along with speaking with your mouthful really fuels my anger as it just shows how uncaring some people can be.
This also is the idea of everyday Manners
I would just love to consign bad manners into Room 101 forever. Blatant rudeness. Queue jumping. Spitting. Elbows on the table. A basic lack of a "Please" or "Thank you". All of these irritate me.
Please tell me if you agree with my choices or suggest some more of your own!
Thank you for listening!
