It emphasises the community coming together for a shared meal. By eating the bread and wine together, we get closer to Jesus and each other. |

It emphasises that the Eucharist is a shared meal. The breaking of Bread represents the breaking and sharing of Jesus' body. |

It reminds us that the bread and wine repeats the act of the Last Supper. Some believe the bread and wine are purely symbolic |

It comes from the latin word 'sent'. At the end of Mass, Catholics are sent out to live in response to the Body and Blood of Christ. |
