The presentation of alternate ideas, often resulting in logical fallacies. While such a structure often results in the logical fallacy of the false dichotomy or the either/or fallacy, it can create a cleverly balanced and artistic sentence
Alliosis
The use of two or more clauses (that relate to each other) through a reversal of structures to make a bigger point. In a simple term, it is inverted parallelism.
Chiasmus
The informal method of reasoning typical of rhetorical discourse. It is sometimes defined as a "truncated syllogism" since either the major or minor premise found in the more formal method of reasoning is left implied. It is a figure of speech which bases a conclusion on the truth of its contrary.
Enthymeme
A statement that is self-contradictory on the surface, yet seems to evoke truth nonetheless.
Paradox/ Oxymoron
The expression of similar meanings in similar grammatical structures. In simpler words, it is the similarity of structure in a pair or series of related words, phrases, or clauses.

"She loves eating chocolate eclairs, taking moonlit walks, and singing classic jazz."
