1. Laws sometimes require clarification to meet new issues so although the bible is Authorititive is is time bound and hard to adapt to different situations eg the old testements laws couldn't work in today's society eg sunday is sabbath day but some professions require work on sunday |

God doesn't directly reveal truths about himself but the receiver can recognise god acting in history/human expiriences eg nature - receiver intrepts it how they want so it is indirect Reader is more active as it's a subjective interpretation Enables people to apply scripture to modern issues THE BIBLE IS STILL DEVINLY INSPIRED BUT THE WRITER IS NOT DEVINLY DICTATED |

1. Statements revealed can't be taken as error less 2. Each statement will mean something different to each person so s debates can never be settled eg paley said that you can have a re while looking at nature but Dawkins said that while he was moved by nature, he didn't have a re |

Where scripture is devinely inspired so statements made about god can be taken as fact eg 10 commandments come from god so shouldn't be questioned |

1. Suggests the receiver is passive - but people think they are active so what ever truths are revealed may be misunderstood and not accurately recalled making what is revealed meaningless 2.
