What is hypertrophic osteoarthropathy?
Process of unknown pathogenesis that is characterized by clubbing of digits, periosteal bone formation, and arthritis.

Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy is associated with intrathoracic malignancy, suppurative lung disease, and congenital heart problems.
On CXR you see what appears to be a lung abscess with air-fluid levels. What type of bacteria is the likely cause?
Anaerobes (form abscess to close themselves off from oxygenated environment)
