SEx of leuprolide include antiandrogen symptoms, nausea and vomiting.
How does tstosterone affect the testicles? Bones?
How does testosterone affect lipids? |

What are the antiandrogens?
Finasteride (propecia) - 5-a-reductase inh

DES exposure
DES exposure --> clear cell cancer of vagina
What are the SERMS?
How are they different? |
SERMS - clomiphene, tamoxifen, raloxifne
Clomiphene - partial agonist of estrogen receptors at hypothalamus (decreased LH and FSH release)
Tamoxifen - antagonist on breast tissue (for ER-positive breast cancer) Raloxifene (like tamoxifen but with more bone effects, anti-osteoporotic) |
Why is anastrozole or exemestane useful for Tx of breast cancer?

A patient is having premature contractions that you want to delay. Should you reach for dinoprostone or ritodrine?
What other drug works? |
