was a collection of stories that was written about a group of 29 pilgrims going to the tomb of Saint Thomas a Becket at Canterbury, England. It was written by Geoffrey Chaucer between 1387 to 1400

its a type of painting done on wet paper used by water based paints. It was created by Masaccio in Florence, Italy. In the beginning of the 15th century.
Christian Humanism
The major goal of this was to reform the church, they believed that people should improve themselves and not as a whole. They would believe that if they want to improve as a society they have to change the human beings who live there. This push for improvement was early on in the sixteenth century.
Indulgence
it's when you lose time off of a punishment or no punishment at all. The push for this major event was between 1450- 1520. It was with the Catholic Church and you were punished for sinning, but sometimes you weren’t punished. You were able to buy these.
The Ninety-five Theses
was a list of 95 Theses that were sent to Church superiors and the local bishop. Martin Luther did not like the practice of selling indulgences. This happened on October 31,1517.
Edict of Worms
Emperor Charles V tried passing a law that banned Martin Luther’s writing because he accused him of being a heretic and he was trying to depromot God. This happened in 1522.
Lutheranism
it was a religion founded by Martin Luther in the 16th century, German rulers started to support this religion. They began to take control of the Catholic Churches. It was the first Protestant faith.
Predestination
is a doctrine that God has chosen those he is going to save and who he does not intend to save.
Anabaptists
a group of people who wanted to baptize people until they were old enough to pick their religion, not baptize at an infant because they don’t get a chance to show that they really are Catholic.
Ignatius of Loyola
founded the society of Jesus, him and a group of people were recognized by the pope in 1540 as a religious order.
Council of Trent
A group of Catholic leaders met in the city of Trent in 1545 to reaffirm a traditional catholic teaching that went against Protestant beliefs, they met on and off for 18 years.
Act of Supremacy 1534
an act that declared the king had control over religious ideas, any clerical decisions and discipline.
