Ibrahim dreamt that Allah told him to sacrifice his son Isma’il so he told his son and they both agreed. However, at the last minute, Allah told Ibrahim to sacrifice a ram instead. It was a test of Ivrahims loyalty to Allah. The festival Id Ul-Adha commemorates this
