What is a vocation? |
Our general calling, like a career or job, according to our talents or gifts. |

Work in which we preach the word of God, or do other acts of apostles. |

For each of us, becoming a saint and spreading the Faith are done in different ways. This is our specific vocation. |

We are weak and inclined toward sin. We are easily tempted. |

What are habits? |
A way of acting that is acquired by repitition of certain actions. |

Pride, avarice, lust, anger, gluttony, envy, and sloth. |

What is the chief capital sin? Why is it the chief capital sin? Explain what it is. |
Pride is the chief capital sin because because it is the root of all other sins. Pride is an excessive, disordered, love for oneself. |

They wanted to be like God. |

What is covetousness? |
It is greed. It is the uncontrollable desire for earthly materials. |

Why is covetousness natural? |
Because we need some material things to survive. |

What is lust? |
Lust is the uncontrolled desire for sexual pleasure. |

When is sexual pleasure ok? |
When we are married. |

What is anger? |
An uncontrolled expression of displeasure and antagonism. |

What is righteous anger? |
Righteous anger is when we are angry at an injustice. |

When does anger become a sin? |
When it is uncontrolled, bitter, and full of hate and revenge. |

What is gluttony? |
The uncontrollable desire for indulgence in food and drink. |

Why is eating and drinking still good if gluttony is bad? |
Because we need food and water to live. |

What is envy? |
The unhappiness or discontent over the good fortune of others. |

What is sloth? |
The excessive laziness or carelessness. |

How is sloth unlike other vices? |
It is not an ordinary desire that is uncontrolled. It is really the lack of desire to do one's duties. |

What is a vice? |
A vice is a bad habit acquired by repeating bad actions. |

What are the seven virtues? |
Patirnce, fortitude, mercy, self-control, humility, love of God, and chastity. |

Which vices match which virtues? |
Pride - humility, greed - mercy, lust - chastity, anger - patience, gluttony - self-control, envy - love of God, sloth - fortitude. |
