Power over nature (temptation)
|
Jesus was fasting and hungry so the devil says to turn the stone into a loaf of bread if he is really the Son of God. He resists because it's only to prove his identity - later he heals the sick which is power over nature out of compassion for those who suffer

Power over all the Kingdoms (temptations)
|
the devil claims authority over all the world's kingdoms- if Jesus worships the devil, power over all the kingdoms will be given to him- Jesus rejects power over and reminds the devil he only worships God

Power over God (temptations)
|
Devil takes Jesus to the top of the Temple and tempts him to take power over God: " If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down and the angels will protect you."- Jesus rejects

The healings of Christ
|
Healings performed by Jesus show the way Jesus used power - woman in crowd suffering from hemmorages for 12 years touches Jesus and gets cured. Jesus says " your faith has made you well; go in peace."

Empowerment
|
When a persons power grows rather than diminishes because of their contact with someone

Nonviolent Resistance
