Goddess of destruction and death, repesents nature in its destructive self.

Shiva

The god of destruction, married to kali.

VIshnu

Preserves the balance between brahma and shiva, takes many earthly forms when necessary to restore the balance. Krishna is considered an incarnate form of vishnu.

The elephant god of wealth and wisdom child to kali and shiva, got his elephant head from shiva cutting off his real head then replacing it with an elephant.

Haudenosaunee (Hoodenoshownay) Confederacy

A council between the Major New York tribes, Seneca, Onondaga,Cayuga, Mohawk and Oneida Nations. It is a sign of peace between these Native Nations, where deliberation over Native policies takes place.

Assimilation schools where Native children were taken to learn western culture and religion in an attempt to assimilate them to modern western culture.

Allotment

The systematic forcing of native peoples to live on reservations and designated lands by the federal governement.

Termination

The systemic slaughter of natives put forth by the federal government. Skinning of natives was rewarded with cash money in an attempt to thin the numbers of natives. Under Jacksons term many programs were put into place to eliminate and remove natives from their land.

Sovereignty

The native Peoples ability to be recognized as a sovereign nation separate from the united states of America. Onondaga is a sovereign nation from the united states and issues its own passports.

Self-Determination

The native peoples ability to govern themselves based on their own traditions separate from those of the United States federal Government.

Removal

Forcing the Native people from their original homes moving them to other locations in order to free up much desired land for westerners to settle in.

Blood Quantum

The final solution to permanently rid the United States of Native People. A required percentage of Native Tribal heritage to be considered a Native person.

Trail of tears

Native removal program during Jacksons term, forced Cherokees to move their tribes to allotted land for them, many died on the journey from starvation, exhaustion and disease.
