Maturation:
happens to everyone at the same time (automatic)
Assimilation:
Integration of new information into existing mental structures (ex: MacDonald’s going then to Pollo Tropical)
Accommodation:
Adjustment of existing mental structures in response to new information (ex: Chilis restaurant)
Equilibration:
A balance between two factors: The person’s thinking and the environment (ex: What happen when you went to Chilis the first time, ex: When you go to your car and is not there)
Egocentrism:
cannot distinguish between their own perspective and that of others (they think everyone see’s the same way they see. Ex: If I can’t see you, you can’t see me. They can’t picture what someone else sees)
Concreteness:
Rely on physical objects and events to guide their thoughts (Ex: coins, who has more? They say the coins that take the most space regardless that it is the same amount)
