The PT provides skilled services & direction to a student who is participating in the service under line-of-sight supervision |

In order to record PT as individual therapy under Y1
|
1. Only one resident can be treated bu the therapy student at a time (Part A & B)
2. The supervising therapist or assistant cannot be treating or supervising other individuals and must be able to immediately intervene or assist the student as needed while student and resident are both within line of sight 3. PT could be attending to paperwork while supervising the student |

Minutes may be coded as concurrent therapy under Med A when
|
1. Therapy student is treating one resident and the supervising therapist or assistant is treating another resident in line of sight
2. PT student is treating 2 residents, both of whom are in line of sight of the PT student and PT --& the PT is not treating or supervising any residents 3. PT is treating two residents at a time, both of whom are in line of sight and PT student is treating nobody |

|
1. PT student is providing group txt and all residents participating in therapy and the student are in line of sight of the PT who is not treating any residents
2. The PT is providing the group txt and the PT student is not providing any txt to the residents |
