Table of Contents
|
It lists the chapters of a book.

Fact
|
Something you can prove. A fact can change, but it can still be proven. For example, "Today is Friday." That is a fact, but it will change when the day is over.

Opinion
|
Something that someone believes. For example, "I think that we should all eat broccoli everyday" is an opinion.

Main idea
|
The most important, or BIG idea, from a story, poem, or nonfiction text.

Supporting detail
|
A detail that gives more information about the main idea of something you've read.

Context Clues
|
Using information you have read to help you figure out what a word means.
|

Chunking
|
A reading strategy used to break long words into smaller parts you know.
