Sound of Whistle.

The sound of a whistle should be distinct, with intensity, duration or repetition appropriate to the distance at which the warning is required to be heard.

5. Switch headlight from low to high beam, activate hazard lights (where fitted) and sound a series of short sharp whistles to warn any incoming trains.


6. Take all steps necessary to protect the affected lines.
