The four layers of the rain forest are Emergent, Canopy, Under story and Forest Floor.

Describe the Emergent layer and what animals you would find there.

The Emergent layer is the top layer that has trees that can grow up to 250 feet tall. The animals you can find in the emergent layer are harpy eagle and the morpho butterfly.

The Canopy has large trees that are supported by special root systems. The animals you can find in the canopy are spider monkeys, sloths, opossums, howler monkeys, colorful butterflies, moths and thousands of birds.

The understory is near the ground. The animals you can find in the understory are jaguar, termites and the brown agudi.

The forest floor is the bottom layer in the rainforest that has a soft layer of moss. The animals you can find in the forest floor are beetles, ants, termites, centipedes, millipedes and spiders.
