Define and give an example- Tissue Density
A product of the type of tissue and the thickness of that tissue.
Bone has more tissue density than muscle.
Define- Radiographic Density
A term applied to the overall "blackness" of the film. This is a technical factor descriptor and not an anatomical descriptor.

The network of trabeculae in the medullary portion of bone. (will appear as lines)
Define- Compact bone/Cortex
Outer shell of bone.
Define- Superimposition
Is affected by anatomical relationships but NOT affected by the order (AP vs PA) that the film is shot.
Define- Central Ray
Simpily the center portion of the beam.
