Explain why the position of Captain is considered one of the most important roles in all of SJFD
The Captain is the first level of leadership, management and supervision. The Captain is usually the first to deal with the public at the emergency, on the street, and in the fire station. The Captain is also the the go between from FF, FF/P, FE and Battalion Chiefs.
