Attendance at Board Meetings

No Board member may be absent from 3


consecutive regularly scheduled meetings, unless the absence is excused

Supervisor (new for 2014)

A) Licensed Florida psychologist or a doctoral-level licensed psychologist in any state in the U.S. providing supervision in that state or


territory.


B) Active duty military or VA, the licensed


psychologist, can provide supervision regardless of where the supervison is conducted.

Supervising Psychologist must co-sign

-Consultation reports and summaries.  Progress notes can be co-signed at, but it up to the discreation of the supervising psychologist.

Supervision Requirments

-20 hrs per wk; not more than 104 wks


-no more than 40 hrs per wk over the period of  52 wks


-900 hrs in direct service activities


-2 hrs clinical supervision per wk, at least 1 hour has to be individual face-to-face supervison

Denial of Licensure for bribery, fraudulent


misrepresentation, or sexual misconduct...

-If a listed offense was commited the Board shall deny licensure for 2 years to allow for


rehabilitation. If this satisfies the board,


licensure may be granted under probation


status.

Plea of Nolo Contendere

This is a presumption of guilt for the criminal charges. However, there must be clear and convincing evidende of the individuals innocense of the underlying criminal charges.

Underserved or critical need populations are


defined as:

a) people living within a 20 mile radius and there is no other psychologist practicing within that


radius.


b)underserved also include: indigent people with developmental disabilities, immigrants, American Indians living on reservations, and adults over 59 yrs

40 hours every 2 years

No more 10 graduate level courses


No more than 4 hours of confrences

No more than 10 hrs expert witness volunteer


2 hrs DV-requried every 3rd period (6yrs)


2 hrs medical errors-requried


3 of the 40 must be on ethics/Florida Statues

Attempting to obtain, renew a license by decpetive practices for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd


offenses.

Revocation or permanet denial of licensure and $10,000 fine. If unintentional, probation to Suspension or Denial for minimum of 2 yrs up to revocation.

License disciplined by another jurisdiction for 1st, 2nd, 3rd offenses.

1st & 2nd the discipline that would be imposed if it happend in Florida.  Do it a 3rd time and it is a Revocation and $10,000 fine.

Criminal Conviction

Suspension and fine of $10,000 for 1st and 2nd. 3rd time - Revocation.
