People who are affected by partial AIS don't respond to androgens have both male and female genital appearance and sometimes at birth get operated to be either male or female.

What is 5-alpha-reductasedeficiency (5αRD)?

This is an XY male who has testes but has a feminized genital appearance. These people grow a penis during puberty. They first identify as female but after puberty they identify as male.

What is Congenital AdrenalHyperplasia (CAH)?

CAH is defined as a genetic female (XX) but they develop externally as a male. Can be born with masculinized genitalia which can be reassigned at birth. They usually identify as a female but with masculine interest.
