who was the working model proposed by?

baddeley and hitch in 1974

what did the propose that was different to the multi-store model?

they proposed that the short term wasn't a single store. they said it was made up of 4 different active stores that hold several pieces of information while they are being worked on.

what is the central executive

it is the control centre which acts as a processor dealing with incoming information from senses i.e. visual, auditory.

it is to direct attention to particular tasks. it also is to monitor and coordinate information.
