What is the difference between classical conditioning and operant conditioning?
Classical Conditioning is the process by which an organism learns a new association between two paired stimuli-- a neutral stimulus and one that already evokes a reflexive response.

Operant conditioning is the process of changing behavior by following a response with reinforcement.
What is negative punishment?
Punishment by avoiding something good.
What is negative reinforcement?
A kind of reinforcement that is the abscense of something.
What is positive reinforcement?
The presentation of an event that strenghthens or increases the likelihood of a behavior.
What is availability heuristic?
The strategy of assuming how easily one can remember examples of some kind of item indicates how common the item itself is.
What is representiativeness heuritic?
The assumption that an item that resembles members of some category is probably another member of that category.
Ex. If something walks, looks, and sounds like a rare bird, is it, or is it a bird that is similar to a common speicies?
What is long term memory?
A relatively permanent store of memory.

A temporary store
Ex. The score during a tennis match is short term, the skills you use during the match is long term.
