Correlation

A way to show the relationship between two groups of data. Two pieces of data seem to have a relevant, consistent relationship(doesn't necessarily mean one caused the other)

Population

All of the members in a group being studied

Sample

Relatively small group(random or representative) chosen out of the population being studied

Learning how people/animals interact by watching what they do normally w/o any interference

Study by Experimentation

Learning how people/animals interact by manipulating the situation in a specific way

Independent Variable(I.V)

Part of the situation/experiment that experimenters deliberately control to observe the effects
