What is the meaning of the word "introduction? |
From Latin "intro" meaning "to inside" and "ductus" which means "to lead".
So introduction lead the listeners from a broad knowledge "to the inside" which is covered by the topic. |

To pave the way for the main topic. It establishes rapport, brings their attention to the topic and make the subject matter clear. |

Build up presentation to its peak and end it there. Done with power and intensity to erase all doubts. Employed when immediate action is needed. |

Citing an experience, event or quoting an incident that describes the deeper meaning of the sermon. |

Leaves a decision for the listeners to make. |
