Hey guys lets take a trip! Today we are going to go to two unesco sites both located in Cuba!
We will start our journey at the sea tack air port in Seattle our journey will be 3,150.63 mi
We will land in the Holguin airport in Cuba
Since we are in Cuba we should probably learn a little bit about Cuba.
the capital of Cuba is Havana
The currency is the cuban peso
they speak Spanish in Cuba
their main religion is Christianity but they also preform a religion that the African slaves brought over it is called Santería which includes animal sacrifice and sacred drumming and dance.
They have a president his name is Raul Castro he has been president since 2008 he is 81 years old and his brother is Fidel Castro who was also president and is important in Cuban history.
their literacy rate is 99.8%
sports they have 2 main sports track and field and baseball
this is their baseball team, in the Olympics they got 1st place in 2004
here are some famous Cuban base ball players and a baseball that says Cuba on it.
this is our first famous player yulieski gourriel he plays 3rd base on the national Cuban team.
Our next player Erlis Casanova he is a right handed pitcher our
next sport is track and field

Now we will finally visit our first site Alejandro de Humboldt National Park
The park is very beautiful and full of live.
And it is full of biodiversity meaning it has a vast variety of different organisms.
This is a blue crab! Blue crabs are delicious!
This is a snail! Snails are not so delicious!
This is a very yucky elephant shrew
But there can also be very cute shrews this is a strawberry elephant shrew I named Delilah
This is now a video of a shrew finding food
Shrew facts to say during the video:
1) they are one of the smallest mammals
2) They eat plants and small insects
3) Shrews can live in any environment except for polar regions
4) They are mainly nocturnal meaning they eat and adventure at night and sleep during the day.
5) There are 300 different species of shrews.
This is a lizard that would be found in the park wow there is so much biodiversity there are birds, water lovers, mammals, insects and reptiles I think we got every thing
In 1963 the Jaguani and Cupeyal del Norte Natural Reserves were declared and in 1991 the Ojito de Agua Fauna refuge was established. These three areas were combined in 1996 and where names the Alejandro de Humboldt National park. It was declared a UNESCO site in 2001
The climate is mostly tropical all year and most rain falls between May and October and hurricanes occur in the fall
It is full of many different plants and It has the most plant diversity out of any other place in Cuba it is also the least explored site in Cuba
Now here is some history of the park I know this is very boring so I am going to make this as interesting as possible by showing you this video I made.

Cienfuegos!
So what is Cienfuegos? It is a historical town like Vatican city it is full of beautiful architecture and one of the first towns in Cuba to have beautiful Architecture that meant to look beautiful.
Okay so trading in Cienfuegos was and still is very important after the town was made it was a trading place for coffee, tobacco
Now on to The history of the city The city of Cienfuegos was founded in 1819 and the economy was based on cattle raising and cultivation of tobacco In the 1830s, the colony grew based on the increment of sugar production but also due to its favourable geographical location and it was the 3rd city in Cuba After the Independence War against Spain ended. Trade developed mainly with the United States,. In 1976, the city of Cienfuegos became the capital of the province with the same name, increasing its development further.
Now on to the location the location is really important in this site and town because it helped with the trade Cienfuegos is in the heart of Cuba and in the main area where things like mango, coffee, tobacco and sugarcane where being produced which was very popular in the word of trading.
Now after our long day of traveling and learning we will be staying at a 5 star hotel right in between both of the sites it is called the Iberostar Varadero and it is beautiful and for 4 nights it will be $1,109. The hotel is located right on the ocean and it is very beautiful. The Hotel has many places to eat like at the pool in the nightclub and there are also many restaurants.
But one of the restaurants that that sounds good is the La Dorada Restaurant that serves Mediterranean food and some Asian food
