How would you go about enabling Elastic Audio on a track?

-Using any audio track's Elastic Audio Plug-in selector in the edit window

After enabling a track for Elastic Audio, how would you enable the track to update dynamically to match any subsequent tempo changes you make in the session?

-click the track's Timebase Selector and select ticks from the pop-up menu

Which real-time Elastic Audio processor typically works best for drums? Which typically works best for vocals?

-Rhythmic-monophonic

Which Elastic Audio plug-in provides only Rendered processing? When/why would you want to use rendered processing?

-X-form-This type of processing is less demanding on they system and is useful if you are working on a system with limited resources

What can the Elastic Audio analysis' tempo detection determine about an audio file? What are some conditions that will cause no tempo to be detected?

-detect regular tempo, treated as tick-based files. Files in which no tempo has been detected are treated as sample-based files.-files w/ single transient like a single snare hit, also files w/ tempo changes, or without regular periodic rhythmic pattrns

What is meant by Event Confidence? How can Event Confidence be used to eliminate false transients when applying TCE processing on Elastic Audio-enabled tracks?

-confidence level based on the relative clarity of the transients-Adjusting Event Sensitivity: Select clip on an Elastic Audio-enabled track. Choose CLIP > ELASTIC PROPERTIES (or right-click the clip) Click the EVENT SENSITIVITY field and adjust the value as needed.

What views are available for working with Elastic Audio-enabled tracks?

-Analysis View, and Warp View

Name the 3 types of Elastic Audio markers. What are the differences b/t them?

-Event Marker, Warp Markers, Tempo Event Warp Marker-Event markers do not fully extend to the top and bottom of track. You can only add/delete in Analysis View. Warp Markers anchor audio to the timeline and are displayed in warp view only. Thick black vertical lines with triangles at their base. Tempo Event-Generated Warp markers are not editable and are displayed only to indicate where Elastic Audio processing has been applied to conform the audio to tempo events. Visible only on tick-based tracks. Gray vertical lines with a diamond at the top

What is Telescoping Warp? How does it differ from an Accordion Warp? From a Range Warp?

-uses event markers to apply a relative amount of time compression/expansion across the entire waveform of a clip on one side of an existing warp marker.-applies Elastic Audio processing on both sides of a single Warp marker in a clip. This lets you expand or compress the audio equally on both sides of a fixed point.-applies Elastic Audio processing b/t 2 fixed points in a clip. To apply, you must have at least 2 warp markers present in the clip. Applying allows you to adjust the timing of audio events relative to one another.

What are 2 ways to apply Elastic Audio pitch transposition?

-in the Elastic properties window or the Transpose window. Use Elastic properties window for finer control over the transposition results.
