Descriptive Grammar

Is a type of grammar which describes how people use a particular language. People who gollow this type of grammar do not impose any rules on the language user,but rather are open to the idea that grammatical patterns may be discovered while analyzing how people speak.

Prescriptive Grammar

Is a type of the grammar which imposes a set of explicit rules for using a particular language. People who follow this type of grammar believe there is a "Correct" way to use a language. Anybody who does not use the "Correct" grammar uses "non-standard" version of the language.
