What is a Pressure Group?
A group of like minded individuals, who do not seek to be in power thereself but seek to influence descion makers.
What is the difference between Sectional and Cause groups?
A sectional group is more exclusive, i.e BMA trade union. A cause group 'fights' for the good of society as a whole.
What is an insider group?
An insider group often enjoys a close relationship with the government, and has regula contact with those in charge.
What is an outsider group?
An outsider group uses more publicity stunts to get there cause noticed, and tends not to have regular contact with decsion makers
What is 'Lobbying'?
Lobbying in is most imple sense is seeking an 'ear' of a person in charge which may be able to make your aim happen.
What is direct action?
It is increasing popular, and is more direct it is when a pressure group may use violence, protest or marches and is used to get attention.
What is Civil Disobedience?
This is deliberatley refusing the orders given to you by the state. Without physical violence
