Describe the basics of beginning a physical exam.
Vital signs
Emphasis on airway, heart, lungs, neuro. and extremeties.
Neurological exam in regional anesthesia.
ASA physical status
I. Pt healthy besides appointment for surgery.

II. Mild systemic disturbance but under control.

III. Severe systemic disturbance and not well managed.

IV. Life threatening disorder.

V. Moribund, non responsive. Just breathing.

VI. Organ donor. Brain dead.
