Converting Fractions to a Decimal |
Divide the numerator by the denominator If it is a power 10 (3/10, 6/100) you simply write down the numerator with a decimal at the end, count the number of zeros the denominator has, and move the decimal to the left as many times as there are zeros (3/10=.3, 6/100=.06) |

Convert Decimals into Fractions |
What place is the last digit of the decimal in (3.75=hundreths, 4.5=tenths) That value will be the denominator in your new fraction (_/100, _/10) The decimal value will be your numerator, remove the decimal (375/100, 45/10) Simplify your answer |
