Mode
The number or numbers that occur the most often in a set of data.
Mean
The sum (add the numbers) of given numbers divided by the number of numbers.
Median
The middle number of a set of data that is in order from smallest to largest.
Range
The difference between the least and greatest values in the data set.
Quartile
The quartiles divide a set of data into four groups of the same size.
Interval
The difference between consecutive markings that are the same size.
Outliers
The numbers in a data set that are either much higher or much lower than the other numbers in the set.
Box-and-whisker
A graphic way of showing a summary of data using the median, quartiles, minimum and maximum.
