What is the design argument? |
Design is a result of intelligent thought The universe shows evidence of being designed This suggests it was designed by an intelligent being The universe is too complex to happen by chance or be designed by anyone other that an omniscient God Therefore God exists |

What is an argument similar to the design argument? Explain it |
Paley's Watch If someone saw a watch they would know it had been designed as its so complex A watch has many complex parts that fit together to make it work so it must have been designed Paley said it is the same for the universe and only God could design the universere Therefore God exists |

We can't prove God exists and the design argument only suggests he does The appearance of design is due to evolution so everything is evolved so only has the appearance of design |

Nothing happens by itself and everything has a cause The universe can't happen by itself A powerful cause is needed to cause the universe This cause must be God Therefore God exists |
