ClO2 1-
Chlorite
Just memorize these straight up. And dont procrastinate like I did...let's just say it's gonna be a long nite.

C2O4 2-
Oxalate
This is the tricky one. That C wants to trick you, Just ignore it because I swear it's not in the name. Just focus on the O.
SO3 2-
Sulfite
The S is easy. Now focus on the number of O's. I know you can do this.
SO4 2-
Sulfate
You know the S. Hmmm it seems like this one has one more O than sulfite did. I wonder if there's a pattern.

Carbonate
The C stands for ________. No not cat try again you got the first two letters right anyway. Those pesky O's just keep throwing us off our game don't they? Keep working you are getting better!

Phosphate
I -ate some P--------- the other day and now im not feeling so good...

Look at the base. The stem. Whatever you want to call it. Sorry I got nothing else.
H2SO4
Sulfuric Acid
The S is very important
HNO3
Nitric Acid
Look at that NO3, look familiar huh?
CH3COOH
Acetic acid
This is kinda like the choo choo only in acid form.
H3PO4
Phosphoric acid
That PO4 tho
H2CO3
Carbonic acid
I like CO3 yes I do, I like CO3 how about you?
