One reason of that China stay weak for a long time is that we cannot distinguish between country and government, and thus patriotism is used in not used in the right place. We believe that being loyal to one's goverment is being loyal to one's country. In fact, "a government is the organization, machinery, or agency through which a political unit exercises its authority, controls and administers public policy, and directs and controls the actions of its members or subjects". |
