Objectives: 1. Pt will not be infected with MRSA during stay. 2. Pt will not experience anxiety r/t infection control protocol during shift. Interventions: PPE, isolate or cohort pt's with MRSA, Ensure isolation supplies are easily accessible, clean/disinfect all reusable equip after each use and properly dispose of single use items. Give instruction to pt about infection control and eval understanding, Collaborate with Infection Control Nurse Evaluation: Cross-contamination did not occur, Pt verbalizes decreased anxiety, ability to cope and understanding of MRSA |
