Absolutely no drinking in the House, outside the House, or anywhere without the permission of the Line Captain. Any pledgee reported drinking will be summarily dismissed without a hearing.

Absolutely no smoking while in the House or within one block therefrom in every direction

|
Pledgees will promptly answer the telephone in the prescribed manner.

|
Absolutely no gambling or card playing. This means no gambling of any kind whatsoever.

|
All speech must be formal and contain “Yes Sir” or “No Sir.”

|
No swearing in the House or any loud talk:ing or running about the House.

|
Pledge buttons must be worn at all times, including attendance at school.

|
All pledgees must introduce themselves to all Brothers wearing the Fraternity Badge.

|
Pledgees must politely and instantly comply with all requests of Brothers, provided the Initiation Team has given consent.

Pledgees will speak only when spoken to; and, if they must speak, they must secure permission.

Pledgees will always arise when spoken to and remain standing until given permission to be seated.

|
Pledgees must at all times carry cigarettes and mints.

The prescribed manner for answering the telephone is: “Good Morning, Good Afternoon, or Good Evening [whichever the case may be]. This is Alpha Chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Herein reside a select group of the finest gentlemen on God’s green earth. With which of them do you wish to discourse?”
