Monologue
An uninterupted speech given by one character in a play. You should consider adding at least one in your play.
Dialogue
The words characters say to each other in a play. Dialogue reveals what a characters' personality is like, their desires, and what they are thinking.
Stage Directions.
Tells the actors where to stand on stage, where and how to move, what facial expression they should have when delivering their lines, and what tone to have when delivering their lines. Remember that dialogue compliments stage directions, so you also want to have characters talk about their actions and why they are going to act this way.
Setting
Where and when your scene takes place.
At rise
What the characters are doing when the stage lights go on and the curtain goes up.
Message
The theme-what your play is about, the big idea.
Resolution
How everything ends, the final result.
Conflict
The problem or struggle your central character faces. What's stopping them from getting what they want.
