Vacuole
Animals have one or two small vacuoles but a plant cell has one large vacuole. These vacuoles can store water, waste and ions.
Mitochondria
Both animal cells and plant cells have a mitochondria.
Cytoplasm
Both animal cells and plant cells have cytoplasm.
Endoplasmic Reticulum
Both animal cells and plant cells have an endoplasmic reticulum (ER).
Cell wall
Only a plant cell has a cell wall. This is because cell walls are supporting structures that help the cell keep a fixed shape. Also it helps the plant to stay firm and upright. Animal cells don't need a cell wall because they have a skeletal system which protects their organs.
