Thank you both very much for reading. We are thankful to have this opportunity to share with you about the fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous. We are also here to let you know that
Narcotics Anonymous is a respectable, viable, program of recovery. We understand

that you, as professionals in the field of addiction treatment, come in contact with addicts daily. We in Narcotics Anonymous know that addicts can recover. We have by no means found a cure for addiction. However, this disease can be arrested and recovery is then possible.

Our members come from all walks of life. Regardless of age, race, education or social background, we all share a common problem. We have found a common solution through helping each other in Narcotics Anonymous.

The progression of recovery is up to the individual member. NA does not guarantee a scheduled recovery. However, the brighter part is the fact that those who are now our members, many have long terms of complete abstinence and are better able to help the newcomer. Their attitude, based on the Steps and Traditions, is the dynamic

force that is bringing increase and unity to our program. Now we know that the time has come when the tired old lie, "Once an addict, always an addict," will no longer be tolerated by either society or the addict himself.

NA is not a religious program, nor are we in conflict with any religious beliefs. We encourage addicts to seek a belief in a spiritual concept of their own understanding.

There is life after drugs in Narcotics Anonymous.

It is possible for us to develop new interests and hobbies. We plan and attend social activities. We have conventions where large numbers of addicts meet to celebrate their recovery. It is possible to become a productive and responsible

member of society and to gain self-respect, as well as the respect of others. Narcotics Anonymous offers a program of recovery that is more than just a way of life without drugs. It is greater than any life we have ever known. -End
