Density equation

D = M/V

How would you measure an irregularly shaped object?

You would put it in a water container, with a downwards facing spout just above water level. You would then put it in and measure the amount of water displaced

Units of force (hint: measuring gravity)

Newtons (N)

What is weight?

The effect of gravity on mass.

What is mass?

How much actual stuff is there, measured in grams.

What does hooke's law state?

It states that extension: how stretchy it is is directly proportional to the force applied.

Limits of hooke's law?

When an object gets 'out-stretched' it doesn't work anymore.

Friction: uses and disadvantages.

You can't go as fast as possible, and will damage stuff. But it saves lives through parachutes (air resistance), and helps us brake and slow down.

Levers

How would you reduce friction?

Via a lubricant

Turning moments

Force (N) x Distance (M) = turning moment (nm)
