Continental drift

Alfred Wagner came up with it.

He said all the continents were once attached but drifted apart. People didn't believe this because they thought land bridges were real, he wasn't a geologist and they couldn't feel movements. But land bridges were not real. We can prove continental drift by the same fossils and rock types being in the same place and all the continents fit together like a puzzle.

Order of planets

Mercury

Venus

Earth

Mars

Jupiter

Saturn

Uranus

My very educated mother just served us noodles

Mercury

Mainly made of iron. 75% of the core makes up this planet

Venus

Similar to earth. Made up of 96% carbon dioxide

3% nitrogen

Other gases

Earth

Mantle is made of rocks. Crust is oxygen and many other materials

Mars

Dust covers mars' crust. Beneath this is volcanic basalt rock.

Jupiter

This planet is made from mostly hydrogen and helium. The mantle contains some rock and metallic hydrogen.

Saturn

Isn't as solid as earth. Made up of 94% hydrogen

6% helium

Why is it know as the gas planet?

Uranus

Is 14.5 times heavier than earth. Like Jupiter and Saturn, it's mostly hydrogen.
