How did Aristotle come to the conclusion that the Earth was spherical?

He studied the LUNAR ECLIPSE and noticed that the SHADOW ON THE MOON was created by the earth and was rounded. Therefore determining that the Earth had to be spherical.

Astronomists found another object, Eris, further out that is bigger and denser than Pluto. They now believe that Pluto and its moons are small enough to be considered Kuiper Belt objects
