Serial Relations

Relations characterized by asymmetry, transitiveness, and connexity

Asymmetrical Relation

A characteristic of series relations wherein the converse is not true. If 4 is greater than 3 than 3 cannot be greater than 4.

Transitiveness

One of the fundamental characteristics of series relations. If six is greater than three and nine greater than six than nine is greater than three.

Connexity

A fundamental characteristic of series relations which is indicative of a common property shared by all members of a relation's domain.
